Completed 1981 as a town centre for Woodlands New Town (now Woodlands town).

Became Old Woodlands Town Centre after 1996, when a new town centre opened around Woodlands MRT Station.

It came under the Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme in 2012.

The last residents moved out end-2017.


Old Woodlands Town Centre is currently being demolished for an extension of the Woodlands Checkpoint.


Completed 1977 as part of Singapore's post-independence multi-use complexes.

It was announced in 2011 that the complex would make way for construction of the North-South Expressway, now the North-South Corridor.

Photo taken 7 August 2016.

All residents and shops had moved out by the following year.


The complex is currently being demolished.

Blocks 74 to 80 Commonwealth Drive opened 1964.

These flats came under the Selective En bloc Redevelopment Scheme in 2008. The last residents moved out 2013. Photo taken 8 August 2015.

Demolition commenced the following year.


This place is now an open field.
